Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty
Last Updated: 21 August 2026
At Ginny Jewels, we take pride in the quality, craftsmanship and durability of our jewellery. Every piece is inspected and subjected to quality-control procedures before it is dispatched to our customers.
Our Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty is designed to provide additional protection against genuine manufacturing defects in eligible jewellery.
This warranty applies in addition to, and does not replace, limit or exclude, any consumer guarantees, statutory warranties or other rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited under the laws applicable to your purchase.
1. Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty
Ginny Jewels provides a Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty on eligible Gold and Platinum jewellery from the date shown on the original purchase invoice.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the structure, workmanship or construction of the jewellery that arise under normal and reasonable use.
Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Ginny Jewels may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law:
- Repair the jewellery;
- Replace the affected component;
- Replace the jewellery with the same or an equivalent product where reasonably available; or
- Provide another appropriate remedy required by applicable law.
Repairs or replacements under this warranty will be provided without a manufacturing-related repair charge where the defect is confirmed as being covered by this warranty.
The availability of a particular replacement product is not guaranteed.
2. What Is Covered
Subject to inspection and confirmation by Ginny Jewels, examples of manufacturing defects that may be covered include:
- Structural defects resulting from manufacturing;
- Manufacturing-related porosity or abnormal surface defects;
- Defective or improperly manufactured settings;
- Manufacturing-related soldering or joining defects;
- Incorrectly manufactured components;
- Manufacturing-related defects in clasps or closures;
- Manufacturing-related setting defects that cause a gemstone or diamond to become insecure;
- Other defects that are reasonably determined by Ginny Jewels to have resulted from manufacturing or workmanship.
A defect must be assessed by Ginny Jewels before it is determined to be covered by this warranty.
The examples above are illustrative and do not mean that every issue involving the same component will automatically qualify as a manufacturing defect.
3. Gemstones and Diamonds
Where a gemstone or diamond is supplied as part of a Ginny Jewels product, the warranty may cover a defect in the setting or workmanship that causes the stone to become insecure, subject to inspection.
The warranty does not generally cover:
- Chips;
- Cracks;
- Scratches;
- Breakage;
- Damage caused by impact;
- Damage caused by dropping or knocking the jewellery;
- Damage caused by improper handling;
- Damage caused by accidents;
- Damage caused by normal wear;
- Loss of a gemstone caused by damage, impact, wear or improper use.
Natural diamonds and gemstones may contain natural inclusions, variations and characteristics that are not manufacturing defects.
4. What Is Not Covered
The Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty does not cover damage or deterioration caused by normal wear and tear, accidents, misuse, improper care, alteration or circumstances outside Ginny Jewels' manufacturing process.
Examples include:
Normal Wear and Tear
- Scratches;
- Abrasions;
- Dents;
- Surface marks;
- General wear to metal;
- Wear to bands, claws, prongs or settings;
- Wear caused by everyday use;
- General deterioration of jewellery over time.
Precious metals are relatively soft materials and naturally develop signs of wear with use.
Accidental or Impact Damage
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Dropping jewellery;
- Hitting or knocking jewellery;
- Crushing or bending;
- Sports or physical activities;
- Gym activities;
- Heavy manual work;
- Gardening;
- Household work;
- Occupational activities;
- Other accidental or impact-related events.
Gemstone Damage
The warranty does not generally cover:
- Chipped gemstones;
- Cracked gemstones;
- Scratched gemstones;
- Broken gemstones;
- Gemstones damaged through impact;
- Gemstone loss resulting from accidental damage or wear.
Certain gemstones can be susceptible to damage despite their hardness. Customers should exercise reasonable care when wearing jewellery containing gemstones.
Chemical and Environmental Damage
The warranty does not cover damage caused by exposure to chemicals or corrosive substances, including where applicable:
- Chlorine;
- Swimming pools;
- Hot tubs;
- Bleach;
- Cleaning chemicals;
- Household chemicals;
- Perfumes;
- Cosmetics;
- Hairspray;
- Lotions;
- Other corrosive or reactive substances.
Chemical exposure may cause discolouration, surface damage, pitting, weakening or other deterioration of precious metals.
Discolouration and Tarnishing
Changes in the appearance or colour of precious metals resulting from normal use, environmental exposure, body chemistry, cosmetics, chemicals, moisture or other external factors are generally not considered manufacturing defects.
5. Rhodium, Plating and Surface Finishes
Rhodium plating, gold plating, surface coatings and other finishes may naturally wear over time through normal use.
The gradual loss, fading or wearing of a surface finish through normal wear is not considered a manufacturing defect.
If a product has an abnormal plating or finishing defect that existed at the time of manufacture, Ginny Jewels may assess the issue under this warranty.
6. Prongs, Claws and Settings
Prongs, claws, bezels and other stone-setting components can naturally wear down over time.
The following are generally not covered:
- Prongs bent through impact;
- Prongs caught on clothing;
- Worn claws caused by prolonged use;
- Settings damaged through accidental impact;
- Stones lost due to wear, impact or damage;
- Damage caused by failure to have worn settings professionally inspected.
We recommend periodic professional inspection of jewellery containing gemstones.
7. Repairs, Alterations and Resizing
The Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty may become invalid for the affected product where jewellery has been:
- Repaired by another jeweller;
- Resized by another jeweller;
- Altered;
- Engraved;
- Modified;
- Re-mounted;
- Reconstructed;
- Polished or refinished in a manner that alters the original structure;
- Subjected to other unauthorised work.
Any repair, alteration or modification performed by a third party may make it impossible for Ginny Jewels to determine whether a later issue resulted from the original manufacturing process or the third-party work.
Where permitted by applicable law, Ginny Jewels reserves the right to decline warranty coverage where unauthorised third-party work has contributed to or caused the claimed issue.
8. Loss or Theft
The Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty does not cover:
- Lost jewellery;
- Stolen jewellery;
- Lost diamonds;
- Lost gemstones;
- Jewellery that cannot be presented for inspection.
Customers are responsible for maintaining appropriate insurance where they wish to protect jewellery against loss, theft or accidental damage.
9. Customised and Personalised Jewellery
Custom-made, personalised, engraved, resized or otherwise individually produced jewellery remains subject to applicable consumer rights.
However, the Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty does not cover problems resulting from:
- Incorrect customer-provided measurements;
- Incorrect customer-provided specifications;
- Customer-requested design modifications;
- Customer-requested alterations;
- Damage resulting from subsequent modification or third-party work.
10. Proof of Purchase
A warranty claim must generally be accompanied by reasonable proof of purchase, such as:
- Original invoice;
- Order number;
- Customer account information;
- Purchase confirmation;
- Other reasonable evidence of purchase.
Ginny Jewels may be unable to process a warranty claim where ownership or purchase cannot reasonably be verified.
11. Warranty Claim Process
If you believe your jewellery has a manufacturing defect, please contact us at:
Email: theginnyjewels@gmail.com
Please provide:
- Your name;
- Order number or proof of purchase;
- Product details;
- Description of the issue;
- Photographs of the jewellery;
- Photographs or videos of the affected area, where possible.
Ginny Jewels may request additional information before arranging an inspection.
12. Warranty Assessment
All warranty claims are subject to assessment.
Ginny Jewels may require the jewellery to be physically inspected before determining whether the issue is covered.
During assessment, we may examine:
- The metal;
- Jewellery structure;
- Stone settings;
- Gemstones;
- Diamonds;
- Clasps;
- Prongs;
- Soldering;
- Surface condition;
- Signs of impact;
- Signs of chemical exposure;
- Signs of third-party repair or alteration;
- Product identification markings;
- Other relevant characteristics.
The determination of whether an issue constitutes a manufacturing defect will be based on the inspection and available evidence, subject always to applicable consumer law.
13. Shipping for Warranty Assessment
Where Ginny Jewels requests that a product be returned for warranty inspection, we will provide instructions regarding the appropriate return method.
For international customers, shipping arrangements may differ depending on the destination country.
Customers must follow the shipping instructions provided by Ginny Jewels and use appropriate secure packaging for valuable jewellery.
Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed and applicable law requires Ginny Jewels to cover reasonable return or transportation costs, those costs will be handled accordingly.
Where the assessment determines that the issue is not a manufacturing defect, the customer may be responsible for applicable return shipping or transportation costs, where legally permitted and where those costs have been disclosed before the shipment is arranged.
14. International Warranty Claims
Ginny Jewels may accept warranty claims from customers located outside India.
International customers acknowledge that warranty inspections and repairs may require the jewellery to be shipped to India or another location designated by Ginny Jewels.
International customers may be responsible for costs associated with:
- Customs clearance;
- Import or export procedures;
- Duties;
- Taxes;
- Brokerage fees;
- Currency conversion;
- International shipping;
except where Ginny Jewels is required to bear such costs under applicable law or has expressly agreed otherwise.
Ginny Jewels will provide reasonable instructions regarding international warranty shipments.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate customs and shipping information.
15. Warranty Repair or Replacement
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Ginny Jewels will determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect, product availability and applicable law.
A repair may involve replacing or repairing a component while retaining the original jewellery.
Where replacement is appropriate, the replacement may be the same product or an equivalent product where the original product is no longer available.
If an identical gemstone, component or product is unavailable, Ginny Jewels may provide an equivalent alternative where permitted by applicable law.
16. Jewellery Maintenance
The Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty does not mean that jewellery will remain in its original condition indefinitely.
Fine jewellery requires regular care and maintenance.
Customers should periodically have jewellery professionally inspected, particularly rings and jewellery containing diamonds or gemstones.
Professional inspection can help identify:
- Loose stones;
- Worn prongs;
- Worn claws;
- Damaged settings;
- Weak clasps;
- Structural wear;
- Other issues requiring attention.
Early detection may prevent further damage or gemstone loss.
17. Jewellery Care Recommendations
We recommend removing jewellery before:
- Gym or sporting activities;
- Heavy physical work;
- Gardening;
- Household cleaning;
- Washing dishes;
- Swimming;
- Using hot tubs;
- Showering or bathing where appropriate;
- Applying perfumes or cosmetics;
- Handling chemicals;
- Activities that may expose the jewellery to impact or abrasion.
As a general rule, jewellery should be one of the last things you put on and one of the first things you remove.
Store jewellery separately in a clean, dry and secure place when not being worn.
18. No Transfer of Warranty
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, this Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable to another person.
Proof of the original purchase may be required.
19. No Cash Alternative for Warranty Repairs
Where a manufacturing defect is repaired or replaced under this warranty, the warranty does not automatically entitle the customer to a cash payment or refund.
Any refund, replacement or other remedy will be provided in accordance with the applicable Refund Policy, these Terms and mandatory consumer laws.
20. Statutory Consumer Rights
This Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty is an additional warranty offered by Ginny Jewels.
It does not replace or limit any consumer guarantees, statutory warranties or remedies that apply to your purchase under the laws of your country, state, territory or other applicable jurisdiction.
Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.
Where applicable law provides a consumer with rights beyond those contained in this warranty, those rights continue to apply.
21. Warranty Changes
Ginny Jewels may update this warranty policy from time to time.
Any change will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued under a warranty applicable to a previous purchase, where such rights cannot legally be removed.
The warranty applicable to a purchase will be determined according to the terms in effect at the relevant time, subject to applicable law.
